Welcome to Lakeland Elementary School! At Lakeland we emphasize an open-door policy, where all students, families, and staff members feel welcome, safe, and significantly represented. The entire staff is committed to providing the best possible standards-based education for our students. We have the privilege of helping our young people build active, engaged, and purposeful lives, offering enrichment opportunities and intervention as necessary. We believe that meaningful learning takes place when the learner is directly linked to, and involved with, the content being presented, and we adopt instructional strategies to support interactive learning. Lakeland Elementary School, which is a traditional calendar school, lies in the northern section of the city of Norwalk.
