Educational Services

Under the leadership of Monica Johnson, Educational Services oversees all curriculum and staff development for teachers and principals. The Division is responsible for maintaining standards-based programs, ensuring the acquisition of standards-based instructional materials, collecting and interpreting student performance data and their relationship to instruction. The Division also oversees instructional technology and manages the implementation of state and federally-funded programs such as Title I.

Monica Johnson was promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services effective July 2018. Prior to assuming this role, she served very successfully as a teacher and principal at Jersey Avenue Elementary School and principal of Studebaker Elementary School.

DAC/DELAC

The District Advisory Council (DAC) and District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) meet at the District Office on the the first Thursday of the month at 9:00 am. Meetings run from October 2023 – June 2024. The committee is comprised of district staff, a teacher representative, and elected SSC and ELAC parent representatives from each site who collaborate on programs related to Title I and English Learners. The DAC and DELAC serve as the parent advisory group for the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
