Family Resource Center

Welcome to the LLCSD Family Resource Center (FRC)

The LLCSD Family Resource Center’s Mission is to eliminate barriers for all LLCSD students by providing comprehensive services to our most vulnerable populations and advocating for successful transitions, re-engagement, and social-emotional awareness with the goal of empowering students to reach their potential and maximize higher educational achievement

Services and Supports

The FRC staff  help students and their families with health issues, housing instability, mental health support, critical life needs, and parenting supports.

Our Services Include:
  • Emergency Basic Needs: Food, Clothing, Hygiene
  • Referral Services/Connect families to outside agencies
  • Students In Crisis Support
  • Parenting Support and Workshops
  • Mental Health Services
  • Registration/Enrollment Assistance
  • Support for Unhoused / Unsheltered
  • Health Services Referrals/Coordination

How it Works:
1.  Families are referred to the FRC by school staff  or self referrals.
2.  Using a strength based/solution focused approach, the FRC staff conducts an intake with the family to determine what the needs are and provides guidance on various supports.
3. Families are matched with appropriate supports or community programs.
4.  The FRC staff provides follow-up on referrals and ensures that families are supported every step of the way.
